Teacher of Computing

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and motivated Teacher of Computing with excellent subject knowledge, who can combine academic knowledge and achievement with a passion for the subject to boost learning outcomes.

You’ll inspire and empower students to reach their full potential in Computing by delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that build essential digital skills and knowledge. Your passion for computing will create interactive learning experiences, while your focus on assessment and wider curriculum requirements will help drive student progress and achievement in this rapidly evolving field.

Sefton Area Full-Time

As a Teacher of Computing, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Foster students’ digital literacy, programming, and problem-solving skills through interactive activities
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing clear feedback to support improvement
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and innovation
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet curriculum requirements and individual needs
  • Contribute to the development and review of the Computing curriculum and learning resources
  • Support students’ understanding of online safety, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enhance student learning and well-being
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality, and school policies at all times
